Sunday Post: Remedial

To my happiness, my boyfriend came home from Jamaica! Unfortunately, he brought back a cold from the trip, and gave it to me! Sigh. So the past few days, we both have been taking lots of medicine and making sure that the cold goes away as quickly as possible because we’re going on a trip together in a few days! I’m feeling much better today, thankfully, because I’ve been looking forward to this trip for ages!

And moving on, here’s what I’ve been up to this past week:

Watching: I binged season 2 of Agents of S.H.E.I.L.D and oh my gosh, the first half was terrifying with all the cave drawings and whatnot, and the second half was exhilarating! So many plot twists! I was at the edge of my seat the whole time, anxiously playing episode after episode. It did seem as if there weren’t enough humor as is the norm with anything that Marvel puts out, but one of the new characters they had on for the 2nd season was hilarious to watch. SO looking forward to the next season!

And then I moved on to Teen Wolf. Not what I expected at all! The first season was really good, surprisingly. I was glued to the t.v. most of the time, but it’s interesting to find that, after binging 15 hours straight of it, this show is ridiculously overdramatic and predictable in its scary scenes. The suspense music fills 90% of the show, making the suspense diluted. And yet.. it still grips my attention! Favorite character hands down: Stiles! I love his snazzy lines and the actor Dylan O’brien is SO good delivering the humor!

Finally, hoorah to the start of the fall season on T.V.! It’s been a rough summer without The Mindy Project in my life.

Currently Playing: AdVenture Capitalist (I play on my iPad but the comments on Steam is better ^_^). This game is addicting T_T I honestly just want to stare at it all day and watch as my fake money grows. But that’s counter-productive, haha. Definitely a great game to come back to a few times a day, just to check up on things and kill some time. Best part about the game is waking up in the morning, opening up the game, and reading I made a gazillion dollars since last time! #success

Favorite Meal: To celebrate my brother’s first official job, he treated us to a dinner at an All-You-Can-Eat Korean BBQ in Alhambra called GEN. But then again, anytime ayce kbbq is involved, it’s going to be good.

Currently Reading: Howl’s Moving Castle by Dianna Wynne Jones. I know this is a children’s book, but that doesn’t mean adults can’t enjoy it as well. Anyway, back when I was in high school, Disney Channel was still a cool channel to watch. They would play great original movies, and occasionally animated movies that I later learned was done by Studio Ghibli. One of the movies they interpreted was Howl’s Moving Castle, so I thought I’d read it and see what the original author had in mind when she created that world.

Looking Forward to Next Week: My trip with Joseph to New Mexico, United States! Ah! We booked our flights months ago and I am super excited to finally embark on this trip! I will be instagramming regularly, of course, as we’ll be hitting up the major cities as well as roadtripping to the southern part of the state for some adventures with nature.

What are you looking forward to next week?

I love Mindy Project and I miss it so much. I haven’t pulled the trigger on getting Hulu yet, but I just might have to. Have you read her new book, Why Not Me? Hilarious!

I have not read her new book, but she is supposed to be doing a signing in L.A. in a couple of weeks, and I’m hoping to attend! Will start reading the book then :)
