BEVERLY HILLS, CALIFORNIA
Last Saturday, I had the pleasure of attending the Beverly Hills Food and Wine Festival and brought my mom along for the ride. The four day event was held from June 9th – 12th at the Olympic Collection ballrooms with a portion of the proceeds going towards Alex’s Lemonade Stand Foundation – a nonprofit organization that helped raise funds and awareness for kids with cancer. With over 60 amazing restaurant and wine vendors participating including Ruth’s Chris Steak House, Bottega Louie, Presidential Culinary Services, Hillhaven Lodge and so much more, I was excited to get my taste testing grub on.
First stop – trying some Filipino Pork bbq with Cucumber Atchara from the Academy of Culinary Education.
Adorable sweets from Sweet Dreamery Desserts that look too cute to eat!
I’ve passed by Francois Payard‘s luxurious dessert shop at Ceasar’s Palace in Vegas many times but finally had the pleasure of tasting their macarons!
There were two ballrooms that were filled with vendors, and the rooms were packed with people excited to try it all.
I was eager to do some wine tasting from their expansive list, but after drinking just a small amount of Moreno‘s rosé wine, my face grew warm and red. Being the responsible designated driver, I had to cut my limit to this one small glass of wine. But tbh, I’m the absolute worst when it comes to drinking alcohol. Such a weaksauce >__<”
Organic oats with strawberries, chia seeds, wheat germs, ground hemp, almond milk and bananas from Commoncy.
Beautiful looking and scrumptious tasting chocolates from Marco Paolo Chocolates.
This year, one of the biggest sponsors of the event was Netflix as they promoted ‘Master of None‘ and ‘Unbreakable Kimmy Schmidt‘, two series that I fully enjoyed watching. And of course I had to get a photo of my mom and myself in front of Netflix’s floral wall because, geez, I spend WAY too much time on their website not to! haha. (Btw, who’s excited for OITNB’s new season in a few days?!)
Thanks so much to the Beverly Hills Food and Wine Festival and Blogger Babes for inviting me to the event! We had such a fun mother-daughter time bonding over delicious food (especially as she became an amazing wingmom for grabbing a second (and third) helping of a sample I particularly liked – this was especially true for Ruth’s Chris’ White Chocolate Bread Pudding … omg).
