Afters Ice Cream on Green St.

Tucked away in a quiet one-way street in Pasadena, within walking distance to Caltech and Pasadena City College, is this charming old gas station with adorable retro gas pumps. Just a few months ago, this gas station used to be the home of Motordogs – a classic hot dog stand, which I am sad to report I’ve always wanted to try but never did. And now, this place has transformed to house the handcrafted Afters ice cream.

I saw their menu and one item in particular jumped out at me – Jasmine Milk Tea! I wish they had a Rose Milk Tea option as well, but I’ll take it, haha. The fragrance of the jasmine ice cream was strong, too strong for Joseph to have more than one bite, but I enjoyed it thoroughly. One scoop was also more than enough for me, as I couldn’t even finish it!

Joseph, on the other hand, ordered Cookie Monster with their signature product, the Milky Bun. I got a bite of it and yum! The glazed bun was sooo good and made for a great texture addition to the ice cream! Joseph thought that the name Cookie Monster meant that it was cookies and creme flavored, but it leaned more towards bubblegum so he wasn’t too fond of it, but I really liked it.

Ooh this sounds delicious! I would definitely love a Rose Milk Tea too, but the Jasmine Milk Tea sounds nice. Thanks for sharing and have a great day :)

What a cool concept! Love it (though I fear we would gorge on all the dairy goodness) Haha!

Woahhh totally want to try out those flavors! It’s too bad that it was too strong, but I’ve never seen a jasmine milk tea flavor before so I’m curious!

This place is so fine and aesthetically pleasing! I’m not a big fan of ice creams but I swear if I had a ice cream place like this in my city, I’d totally go every weekend

I love fancy ice cream places, but have a much harder time finding them since cream kills my stomach! I love the idea of the whole cookie monster thing, that looks amazing. Maybe not for the bubblegum flavor though!

Oh no, that’s too bad about the cream!
