Looking Back on 2015

It’s crazy how time seems to fly by the older we get. I remember in high school, life seemed to just crawl as I wished for the school year to end. And now, as I sit here as a 25 year old lady, life just passes me by when all I want is for it to slow down immensely. As I reflect back on this past year, I’m actually very surprised at all of the things that happened, especially travel-wise.…

Planning for Twenty-Fifteen

This upcoming year, I am looking forward to exploring more of what the United States has to offer. I know that there is so much to see in the world outside of the States and seeing the many photos of travelers going abroad heightens that desire. Yet, there is SO much to discover right in my backyard! So for the next year, I am staying put and revolving all my travels around the U.S., and I am SO excited for…

Down Memory Lane of 2014

The 2014 year is coming to a close tomorrow. As I try to recall what the past year has been like, everything turns into a blur. It’s only when I look back at my blog that I remember what actually took place, and when. I cannot stress enough how helpful documenting my journey has been for this poor memory of mine. Some highlights include: 1. Drove solo for a 6 hour road trip for the first time to Phoenix, AZ. 2.…

Little Favorites

Okay, I’ve been on a little spending spree, it seems. My wallet seems a little sad, but the good thing is, I’ve been happy with all my purchases (no buyer’s remorse, here!) as they have improved my lifestyle just a little more. None of the items on the list have been impulse purchases, btw. A lot of thought, revisiting the websites to drool, and reading countless comments were made before I hit the ‘purchase’ button (except for the measuring cup,…

In the Minority with Pumpkin Spiced Latte

Fall is now upon us, though I’m not sure the Los Angeles weather is quite aware of this fact just yet. But clearly Starbucks and its coffee fanatics are very much in-tuned with the calendar as their favorite seasonal Fall drink ‘Pumpkin Spiced Latte’ has hit the menu. I am not a big coffee drinker. I drink coffee mainly for social situations. My preferred drink is Rose Milk Green Tea (I’m trying to quit but failing pretty badly). But anyway, back…

Mid-Life Crisis

When I was in high school, I wanted to be an animator. I loved to read and to draw, so I wanted to put the two things together and make animated films. But I didn’t just want to be the guy (or girl) that drew. No, I wanted to be the person that owned my own animated studios who had the power to greenlight the greatest scripts that came my way and make magic happen for children and adults who…

Spring

There are two seasons that I’m most fond of – Spring and Fall. They’re in-between seasons, where the weather is not too hot and not too cold. Just perfect, really. And guess what, guys? Spring has arrived! There is no need for a heater or a fan. Only sundresses, floppy hats, and pastel-colored nail polish. But what’s more important than that, I think Shakespeare said it best: “April hath put a spirit of youth in everything. (Sonnet XCVIII)” – William Shakespeare…
